What is Group Respite Care?**

This drop-off program is a free service for families, which is part of a project grant through the Dept. of Human Services, Office of Healthy Aging.

Nursing students from multiple programs in RI, under the supervision of faculty, provide care and therapeutic activities for children and adults with special needs.

College students from other majors are also invited to participate with professor permission.

Where? and When?: The following Saturdays, 12-4pm, at these locations:

For children with special needs only:

Sept. 14, 28; Oct. 12, 26; Nov. 16; Dec. 7 Kingston: URI campus: Independence Square 25 West Independence Way, Kingston Park behind the building, follow signs to the entrance closest to the tennis courts.

Individuals of all ages with special needs/needing age-related assistance.

Sept. 21; Oct. 5, 19; Nov. 2, 23

Pawtucket: Independence Square Foundation Building 500 Prospect St., Pawtucket Wing C entrance – back of the building, just past the Head Start playground.
