Every six months, I start my day with a family member texting to say, “Your salary is in the media again.” It’s like clockwork.
But the frequency and tone of nonprofit CEO salary coverage is not the norm in other sectors. And it’s concerning. These stories often perpetuate a narrative that nonprofit leaders shouldn’t be compensated fairly for their business acumen, organizational leadership, strategic vision, and the incredible weight of responsibility they carry.
