Want to address the root causes of problems facing your community? Want to help create laws and systems that strengthen families, prevent harm, and help all Rhode Islanders thrive? Join with other nonprofits to ensure that legislation and policies are developed that will address the challenges in our communities and support Rhode Island nonprofits.
Too many nonprofits think that nonprofits are prohibited from doing advocacy. Not true! Nonprofits can legally do voter registration, advocacy and even lobbying, within legal limits.
As nonprofits providing essential services—such as food assistance, housing support, and healthcare—struggle due to unstable federal funding, increased expenses due to inflation, and a decline in charitable giving, advocacy around federal and state funding for community priorities is more important than ever.

- Join the Alliance monthly Policy Briefings at noon on the second Wednesday of the month.

- Register for an Advocacy 101 training, or request a training for your nonprofit team or community members (you will need to create a free account to access the request form).
- Participate in the annual Advocacy Coaching Cohort offered by the Alliance (starts in August each year)
